  5. Holiday Chifla and Colac Sale. The Holiday chifla & colac sale will be Saturday November 11, 2023. Pick up at church will be from 12:00-4:00 pm. Orders may be placed by calling Debbie Cobb at: Cell/Text: 630-862-7991 or Home: 630-898-5468 Please give your name, phone number, product you are ordering and quantity. Pricing: Chifla $20.00 Colac Loaf $10.00. The deadline for placing orders is Wednesday, November 1, 2023. Due to high demand, please place your orders early.   6. All the parishioners and friends of St. Michael Romanian Byzantine Catholic Church are prayerfully invited to The Annual Feast of St. Michael the Archangel event. Join us for the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, November 5th, 2023 at 10:00 AM. A lunch will follow the Divine Liturgy. All are welcome!

  7. Farmers Market 2023 End Season. Saturday, October 7th St. Michael Church will be at the Aurora Farmers Market for the last time this season. We will be selling our traditional chifla/nut roll and colac/sweet bread. We sincerely want to thank all our loyal customers for purchasing our bakery.  With your aid, we were able to restore the bell and clock towers of this 107-year-old church building, that has been an Aurora landmark. Please continue to check our Facebook Page and our website for future bake sale dates, which will help to pay for the completed projects.   9. Traditional Placinta and Langos Sale. On September 17th, 2023, following the Divine Liturgy, we will have a Romanian Placinta and Langos Sale.

  10. Memorial Service/Parastas at St. Michael Cemetery. Saturday September 16, 2023, at 10:00 am, you are all invited to our Cemetery (1035 Aurora Avenue) where Fr. Remus will celebrate a Memorial Service for all the deceased members of St. Michael Church and all the deceased from your families.

2022

  1. Holiday Chifla and Colac Sale. The Holiday chifla & colac sale will be on the weekend of November 12-13, 2022. Orders may be placed by calling Debbie Cobb at (C) 630-862-7991 or (H) 630-898-5468 or text 630-862-7991 with the number of chifla and/or colac you wish to purchase along with your name and phone number. The price for a chifla is $20.00 and the price of a colac loaf is $8.00.

  2. St. Michael FeastDay Dinner. On October 30th we will celebrate St. Michael Feast Day! The day will begin with the concelebration of the Divine Liturgy at 10:00am. Following the Liturgy, a Romanian dinner will be served in the parish hall.

  5. Join us for St. Michael's Christmas Party on Sunday, December 19th. We will be caroling directly following the liturgy, and then everyone is welcome downstairs in the Church hall. We will have a special visit from Santa! This year we will be participating in the Angel Tree program with the local Salvation Army here in Aurora. Bring a toy (unwrapped) to donate to families and children in need this holiday season. Bring an appetizer, dish, or dessert to share. Thank you and God Bless!

  6. A Memorial service will be held this Sunday, November 14th in memory of all members of St. Michael’s Church. Directly after the Holy Liturgy, the Memorial Service will be held at the St. Michael’s Cemetery and after, everyone is invited back to the Church for our Sunday Coffee hour. If whether does not permit, the Memorial Service will be held in Church directly after the Holy Liturgy. Please provide your list of loved ones to be included in service to Father Remus on Sunday.

  7. The Ambassador of Romania to the United States of America H.E. Dan-Andrei Muraru will be visiting our Church Saturday, November 13th at 10:30 AM. We invite you all to welcome Ambassador Andrei Muraru as well as the Consul General of Romania in Chicago, Mr. Tiberiu Trifan. Photos and videos from this event can be viewed here.
